A Tale of Two Villages
The Carthage Free Library has been an integral part of the Twin Village Community since its founding in 1911. As part of the community, we are interested in preserving and sharing the story of Carthage Free Library and the Twin Villages with future generations. In order to do that, we need your help. In honor of our 100th year anniversary, the Carthage Free Library is collecting and digitally archiving written and oral histories from people in the twin villages and surrounding area. We are interested especially in stories that involve the library, historical events or buildings in the Twin Villages, and war experiences from local veterans. Any photos, news articles, journal entries, letters or other supporting documentation you would like to send as an attachment through email or send a copy of in the mail would be greatly appreciated. Stories will be archived on our website and featured in other 100th year related events. If you would like to share your library story, please click on the link below to submit. Please be sure to include contact information and we will contact you!
